After more than a month of academic English course, I experienced the teaching style of Cambridge University and Imperial College, thus developing my international vision and academic thinking. At the same time, the course also enabled me to test my academic English writing, reading and expression skills. I benefited from the exchange and discussion with fellow teachers and students from various disciplines.
First of all, the two professors have very different styles in terms of courses and teaching methods. The first one focuses on theoretical discussions, while the second one focuses on practical applications, which can cover my needs in a more comprehensive way and improve my knowledge base.Second, the group learning model brought me closer to the other five students. For example, we established a WeChat learning communication group, established group learning goals and learning plans, and summarized the course content through workshops after each class, reflecting on personal problems and getting them solved in the group.Finally, I would like to thank Ms. ivy and the other teaching assistants for their conscientiousness and responsibility, which enabled us to have a clear understanding of the class schedule and assignment requirements.
To sum up, the course was very beneficial to me. I would like to thank the School of Philosophy and Social Sciences of Jilin University for the learning opportunity and good platform, and the two professors and teaching assistants for their hard work and watchful accompaniment.I completed two very exciting course presentations with my group, and the collaborative learning process with the group was very memorable. I hope to have the opportunity to break out of the online learning mode and experience the atmosphere of studying abroad first hand, so that I can improve my academic English and move forward in my field of study.
